The Cuffley Horticultural Society is a friendly, informal society which was established in 1940 in response to the wartime “Dig For Victory” campaign. We have hundreds of members in and around the village of Cuffley in south-east Hertfordshire. Events are held usually on the last Thursday of each month – except January and December – in Cuffley Hall, Maynard Place, when guest presenters are invited to speak on a range of gardening topics.
At these evening events, members and visitors can meet up with old friends, or make new ones, buy raffle tickets and attractively priced plants from a vast array on the Plant Stall, and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea or coffee during the interval.
We also have one day visits each year to places of horticultural and other interests and occasionally there is a mini break away for three or more days either at home or abroad.
Members also receive six Newsletters each year, delivered by our wonderful team of voluntary Road Stewards, who also distribute an annual Membership Card which can be used to obtain discounts on purchases from a number of local Garden Centres.
Our Official Programme of Events is published in January each year and all new members and visitors are very welcome to come along.
