Paul Cherry

Paul Cherry has farmed 2500 acres around Weston in North Hertfordshire for 35 years and with his brother, John, they have become increasingly concerned that current farming practises are completely unsustainable, so since 2010 have adopted a ‘No-Tillage’ practise of sowing seeds into seed-beds which have not been ploughed or cultivated. This, in combination with bringing livestock into arable rotations and using clover rich leys and using no insecticides is having dramatic effects on building soil organic matter, which in turn brings huge benefits to the larger environment.
